Introducing Fettered - Foundation Church Music

We are very blessed to have such an array of musical talent and ability within our church. We have many selfless and generous musicians that serve us each and every Sunday during our services under the direction and leadership of Caleb Jacobsen our staff worship director.

One of the things our church values is creativity, as this is one of God’s attributes. Those who bear his image are blessed with the same creative gifts, some in greater measure than others. During Caleb’s time on staff, he has written quite a few songs for our congregational worship times. This is something God has blessed him to do, and I am sure as you have worshipped and sung on Sundays, you have been blessed by Caleb’s writing as well.

Over the last few months, Caleb recorded some of his original work, as well as a couple of covers of different songs we sing here at Foundation Church, with the contribution of some of the extremely talented musicians that serve here. From the hours of writing, recording, and mastering, I am proud to announce the release of Foundation Church’s first EP on September 27, 2016.

It is titled, “Homeward,” and is being released with the band name, “Fettered”. The band gets its name from a line in the classic hymn, “Come Thou Fount”.

“Let thy grace now like a fetter bind my wandering heart to Thee.”

A fetter was a chain used to fix prisoners to their cell and the band name harkens back to the idea that we are bound to God’s grace through Christ; we are fettered to Jesus through the Gospel.

The EP is being released with the express purpose of encouraging the Church and serving you, the members of our church.

It is my hope that in the future we will release more original gospel-centered music under the banner of “Foundation Church Music” through the many bands, musicians, and songwriters God might raise up amongst us.

I encourage all of you to head to and like the page. From the Facebook page we will be releasing videos, blogs, other media related to the album, and instructions on how to download the album for free on the 27th. All of this content can also be found at .

If you would prefer a physical copy of the EP, CDs will be available for $5 from the 27th of September through the office during the week and at the bookstore on Sundays.

Please share this great resource either physically or online with your friends and family so the name of Jesus might be heard through these songs around our neighborhoods, cities, country, and around the world.

God bless you all,

Pastor Ryan Williams
